Often when you go on holiday, you may want to take your expensive perfume and jewellery with you as it is usually a time when you can get dressed up. But when going on a safari trip you may need to reconsider what valuables you take with you.
You may want to take your phone and camera with you and possibly will have some money too. It is important that these are all locked in a safe when you are not using them, simply putting them in a drawer or cupboard isn’t going to ensure they are secure. If your room does not have a safe, check with management if there is a safe place to leave them. Be sure that they confirm with you exactly what you are handing over, if its money, then count it in front of hem and write it down. Try and avoid taking unnecessary items with you when on safari and when taking your camera, for example, on a trip be sure it is in your sights at all times.
If you are walking around and have cash on you, be sure it is in an inside pocket or in a money pouch which is under your shirt, unfortunately pick pockets are very good at what they do and can easily take a wallet out of a back pocket.
