Planning safari travel

If you are looking to go on a safari holiday then you need to consider your travel arrangements in advance. You may not be able to reply on public transport in parts of South Africa, so not planning in advance could cost you in money and time.

If you are planning on going to a few different locations whilst on safari you may need to take flights from place to place. The smaller planes used for this sort of travel very often have a low luggage allowance, meaning you will not be able to take a lot with you. Many travellers start at one location and arrange to leave the majority of their luggage there whilst they tour round, they then return to the first destination towards the end of their holiday to spend the last few days. Always be sure to check what restrictions there are on the weight of your case and also what items are allowed and what are not allowed on all the flights you plan to take.
